When this traditional Gemer delicacy from Muráň was about to be forgotten and live only in memories, the skilful Terka Falťanová from Pohronská Polhora took over its production. Following the traditional recipe, she started baking yeast pastries, that soon became the Legendary yeast pastries from Zbojská. Today they are already known to almost everyone in Slovakia. The recipe brought from Gemer together with the traditional tastes of Horehronie created a regional product of Horehronie – sweet cottage cheese and plum-crackling Legendary Zbojská yeast pastries. The smell and rich filling of sweet cottage cheese ones bubble over with the cottage cheese from the Breznian dairy. Plum-crackling with fine sprinkles of salt crystals are inspired by “pagáče” (crackling-filled yeast pastry) and filled with plum jam baked in Pohronská Polhora. Perfectly mixed dough, the smell of butter from the Breznian dairy, a hearty filling and the secrets of the baker make them a delicacy, that you will gladly come back to.
