Climbing, rock climbing and ice climbing
Ski mountaineering and climbing is in reserved areas allowed in daytime one hour after sunrise till the one hour before the sunset, from 15th December to 30th April.
Ski mountaineering area Chopok is bounded by the line: Zadná voda – Poľana (saddle) – Dereše – Oblaz – Trangoška (valley) – Halašova jama (hole) – saddle between Veľkým Gápeľ and Kozie chrbty – by the valley of Mlynná – saddle under Králička – Alpine hut of M.R.Štefánika – Mt. Ďumbier – Krúpova hoľa – Široká dolina (valley).
Ski mountaineering area Kráľova hoľa is bounded by the line: Mt. Kráľova hoľa – Sedlo Snežná jama (route to the television transmitter) – Kráľova skala – boundaries of the NAPANT (the red tourist road) – ridge of Vyšné Rovienky – saddle between Mt. Kráľova hoľa and Stredná hoľa – Kráľova hoľa.

These activities can be allowed in the selected areas in daytime one hour after sunrise till the one hour before the sunset:
- on the north slopes between Dereše (2003 m.a.s.l.) and Chopok (2024 m.a.s.l.) in the period from 1st July till 31st March.
- Demänovská dolina (valley), Machnatô - up to 500 m from the valley estuary
- Jánska dolina(valley), dolina Bielo (valley) – up to 800 m from the valley estuary/Kanceľ – without restrictions/Horné skaly (rocks) – from 1st August till 31st January without restrictions, from 1st February till 30th July in the case there are no restrictions from authority for conservation of nature and landscape.
- Brankovský vodopád (waterfall)– ice climbing from 20th December till 28th February.
