Slovak Hucul Club
The literal translation of the word “hucul” from the Romanian language is "outlaw". History of this horse breed – the outlaw - and history of the journey on Hucul horses - is also related to the project of the Hucul arterial road. With the help of the project, they would like to gradually introduce visitors to the present and the past of the Huculs as well as the actual outlaw activity in the Horehronie region. The route leads from Sihla via Čierny Balog to the Zbojská saddle. It expands every year and organizes cross-border trips, too.
The Hucul horse, once used as a load bearer, now has new practical use - touring. Hucul is particularly suitable for this purpose. He is predestined for the role thanks to his calm nature and no fear of unfamiliar terrain. Sturdy gaits and prudence of movement guarantee us overcoming even more difficult terrain with a beginner rider in the saddle.
Slovak Hucul Club offers: nature walks, riding in a riding hall, 10h riding training, horseback riding, weekly summer riding courses for children, horse hotel, guidance for children, school trips, corporate events, horsemanship seminars, advice on breeding of huculs, outlaw school (throwing of a knife, archery).
