Museum of metallurgy Železiarne Podbrezová
In the museum in Podbrezová, you can find rich history of the iron production together with history of the biggest metallurgy company in the Central Europe – Železiarne Podbrezová. The museum has two permanent expositions about the history of metallurgy in Slovakia and the foundation of Železiarne Podbrezová in 1840. They will guide you through the important periods for the development of metallurgy industry in Slovakia as well as in the Horehronie region. External exposition is unique as it confines preserved parts of the historical metallurgical machines, which were used in the past.
