Sightseeing tower Zbojská

The sightseeing tower is in the saddle Zbojská, near the Chalet Zbojská between Pohronská Polhora and Tisovec.

The tower is set in the National Park Low Tatras and was built in 2016 by State Nature Conservancy of the Slovak Republic. It is used not just as a sightseeing tower for visitors, but also for workers of the organization for monitoring of protected species.

On the ground floor of the tower is St. George chapel with separate entrance. The tower has three floors, which are thematically divided. The ground and first floor are devoted to the conditions of the local fauna and flora. The second floor is full of everyday items used by shepherds as the location has long tradition of sheep farming. The third floor is devoted to the tradition of famous outlaw Jakub Surovec with his group, who lives there. On the top of the tower is sightseeing point with stunning views on near valleys, hills like Kučalach or Fabova hoľa and on the ridge of the Low Tatras.

The tower is very popular and visited due to its location near the Chalet Zbojská, which besides delicious traditional Slovak food offers many attractions for the whole families (horse riding, farm animals, playground, folk music etc.). You can also visit thematical trail of Jakub Surovec, which will guide you through the so called Čertova valley with several ladders.
